The Great Eclipse and Music Show.mov |
Well, finally, I have put together a little something from my trip out west to experience the total eclipse.
Before heading up into Wyoming for the eclipse itself, we spent 3 days at the Lyon's Bluegrass Festival, camping out and listening to some very good live music. That's what the first part of the video is all about.
After that, we wound our way up to Riverton, Wyoming for the eclipse. We stayed with friends of my sister and camped in their yard. On eclipse day, they drove us about 2 hours outside of town up into the desert where we had a spectacular view from horizon to horizon. Needless to say, the experience of totality was more than I had even hoped for. Pictures don't do it justice and I wish I had done a better job of taking pictures (the image of totality was taken by my friend Bob...thanks, Bob) but I was really trying to savor the experience itself and savor it I did.
After that experience, I am seriously figuring out how to got see the next one (probably from Texas somewhere so my Colorado family can meet me there).
Please feel free to leave comments if you are having trouble accessing the video file.
Thanks.
